With a background in environmental policy, environmental economics, and international agricultural issues, I offer expertise in the ways multilateral processes drive the global food and agriculture sector. As an International Economist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), I developed a strong foundation in the multilateral trade and policy arena and gained a deep understanding of how international decisions affect agricultural systems and business operations.
I represented U.S. agricultural interests at the United Nations (UN) General Assembly, the World Health Organization, and the UN Committee on World Food Security, hosted by UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). In these roles, I collaborated with national delegates, civil society networks, scientific bodies, and private sector partners to advance outcomes focused on sustainability, food security, and environmental protection. I facilitated multi stakeholder dialogue, built relationships across regions, and contributed to negotiation text and policy recommendations grounded in evidence and practical implementation needs.
My work at USDA strengthened my ability to identify and address the agricultural trade implications of international policy emerging from the United Nations system. I bring experience developing policy positions, negotiating multilateral outcomes, and providing strategic guidance. I am skilled in stakeholder coordination, producing high quality analysis and briefing materials, and managing complex interagency processes. This experience reflects a solid foundation in environmental economics, food systems governance, and sustainable development.
